Sheri Brenden - Author
Break Point is a mix of court room tactics and sports strategy. It blends family memoir with historical research. It is a story which tapped into a unique combination of skills -- reporter, writer, historical researcher -- coupled with the vantage point of a little sister.
My experience working for two of the largest law firms in Minnesota taught me how to unearth historical archives, locate legal documents, and investigate all sorts of people, cases, and events. In addition, as a feature, sports and news writer, I have conducted hundreds of interviews, weaving together facts and quotes about everything from fashion to firefighting. I have a Masters degree in Library and Information Sciences from Dominican University and a BA in English from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa.
Most importantly, I grew up in the midst of Break Point and have a passion for sports and gender equity.
